Following the public release of Pope Benedict XVI's Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum liberalising the sacraments in accordance with the Missal of Blessed John XXIII (the Classical Roman Rite / Tridentine Rite) and his Apostolic Letter to the Bishops of the World, this blog will log the parishes of Melbourne which make the Mass in the Classical Rite available.

Taking pride of place, as Classical Rite Chaplains to the Archdiocese of Melbourne, are the Priestly Fraternity of St Peter at St Aloysius in Caulfield. Their website is here http://www.latinmassmelbourne.org/

Further postings of other parishes will be made known. If you are aware of any parishes, please post a comment with details of Mass times for the Classical Rite.
